Our Mission
The purpose of the Outdoor Recreation program is to provide outdoor and environmental education opportunities for students, faculty and staff. The Outdoor Recreation program is committed to providing enjoyable, challenging, meaningful and educational experiences that will allow individuals and groups to learn the skills necessary for survival, safety and sustainability in outdoor activities as well as develop an appreciation for the environment.

Students interested in becoming more involved in the UNI Outdoors program should contact UNI Outdoors at 319-273-7163 or email us at unioutdoors@uni.edu. No previous experience is necessary for our events or clinics. Anyone can enjoy the great outdoors and is encouraged to take advantage of this recreational resource.
