Equipment Rental

Rental Policies

Reservations: Equipment may be reserved in advance by calling our office at 319-273-7163. Payment of all rental fees accepted at the time of pick up.

Payments: We accept ONLY card transactions.

Pricing: University pricing includes individuals who are current registered students (with fulfilled recreation fee), current faculty, or staff members.

Returns: All equipment should be properly maintained and returned on the due date. Late, cleaning, damage, and lost equipment fees will be enforced. Return all equipment to the UNI Outdoors Office, WRC 174.

Cancellation Policy: There is no cancellation fee for reservations.

Backpacking Includes a 1, 2, or 3 person tent, a backpack, a sleeping bag, a stuff sack, a sleeping pad, a whisperlite stove, an Isopro gas can, a pot kit, and a headlamp.  $50 $100
Boating Includes 1 canoe or 2 single kayaks or 2 stand-up paddleboards and the PFDs and paddles.  $75 $125
Camping Includes a 3 or 4 person tent, 1-2 sleeping bags, 1-2 sleeping pads, a whisperlite stove, 1 isopro gas can, a pot kit, and 1-2 headlamps.  $75 $125
Winter Includes either XC skis, boots, and poles or a pair of snowshoes. Also includes free admission to one XC Ski Night event hosted by UNI Outdoor Recreation. $35 $75
