Frequently Asked Questions:

What does my child need  to bring to camp?

Campers will need closed toed sport shoes, a water bottle and lunch.  A granola bar snack will be provided and campers are welcome to bring their own snack as well.  During summer camp, campers should also bring a hat/ visor and sunscreen.  Campers will also need a swimsuit and towel on the days that they swim.

What are drop off and pick up times?

Drop off is between 7:45am- 8:00am.  Pick up is between 4:00pm- 4:15pm.  If someone other than you is picking up your child (carpool, grandparent etc.), please alert the Camp Director at drop off.

What if my child has special needs?

WRC Panther Camps are welcoming to everyone regardless of ability.  Understanding camper needs in advance will allow the camp director and the counselors to better understand the needs of your child.  Please communicate these needs at time of registration.

What if my child has allergies or special medical considerations?

Medications that are needed during the day should be given to the Camp Director at check in. They will be housed in a plastic container until needed throughout the day. It is imperative to discuss medication dispensing with the Camp Director at drop off. The medication should be in a plastic bag with instructions. Granola bars are the only camp provided food item and they may have been produced in a facility where peanuts and other tree nuts were produced. Please plan to bring an alternative snack if granola bars will be a problem for your child.

Can someone other than me drop off and pick up my child?

Yes, but this arrangement needs to be discussed with the Camp Director at drop off.

Will my child be outside?

During summer camp, we intend to use campus outdoor facilities including the north pond area, west trails and other outdoor spaces.  We may also go on fieldtrips to outdoor facilities (i.e. the city pool).  On field trip days, please have your child bring sunscreen and a hat/ visor.

What if I am having problems registering?

Youth Programs registration can be found on our Registration page. If you need further assistance, please review the tutorial.

Will there be a waitlist if the camp is full?

Yes, a waitlist will automatically be available upon registration if camp is full.  If a spot becomes available, camp staff will contact parents based on the order in which they registered.
