Noon Basketball Association (UNI-NBA)

The UNI-NBA program is designed for community members to participate in recreational basketball in the Wellness/Recreation Center (WRC) over the noon hour on weekdays*, along with UNI students, faculty, and staff. The North Courts in the WRC are reserved for UNI-NBA play from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. In addition, during this time, participants are allowed to use:

  • WRC Fitness Areas and Free Weight Room
  • UNI-Dome
  • Locker rooms
*There is potential for scheduling and facility changes at select times of the year.

The annual fee for UNI-NBA for community members is $182, late August to late August (pro-rated over the course of the year). Registration and payment may be made in the Wellness and Recreation Services office, WRC 101, between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. summers.). Purchase of a UNI ID card is necessary (obtained through the Department of Residence, Redeker Center). Once registered for UNI-NBA, this ID card gains access to the gyms and fitness areas when you present it at the Welcome Desk.

Optional services available include uniform (suit and towel) services and locker rental through the School of Health, Physical Education, and Leisure Services. Call 319-273-2488 for cost and other details.
