Faculty, Staff, & Retiree Services

Our mission is to not only enhance the personal, professional, and academic lives of students, but of faculty, staff, and retirees as well. Therefore, Recreation Services offers a variety of wellness, recreation and personal training programs and services to faculty, staff, their spouses, and families & dependents. Fitness and Leisure Classes also have a long history of participation by faculty and staff.

Using our facilities on a drop-in basis is popular among faculty and staff. the annual user fee can be pro-rated over the course of the year. One-day passes may also be purchased. In addition, faculty and staff can register for facilities use and other amenities (such as the RS towel service) available to RS users.

Wellness Mentoring: Wellness Mentoring: If you would like one/one or small group consultation, advice, and support to change a habit, make a lifestyle change, or address an issue of concern (eating, stress, balancing work and personal life, etc.), our professional staff can help. Contact Shawna Haislet, or call (319) 273-6119, for details.

You may be less aware that RS offers CPR, First Aid and other American Red Cross Certification Classes. Also, faculty & staff are welcome to participate in Intramural Tournaments.
